About This Tutorial

This tutorial is designed to help you learn how to navigate in the SFX software interface.

In this tutorial you will be introduced to how the SFX software works and learn a little bit about the software's history. You will also learn about the vocabulary used in SFX. An introduction to the software screens will help get you familiar with the look, feel and function of the graphic user interface (GUI) used in SFX. You will learn how to move among the screens and how to link out of the SFX software through the AtoZ list to reach an online resource. This tutorial includes a demonstration of how you can check access to the resource once you have arrived at that resource's webpage.

This tutorial is made up of four modules: What is SFX?; SFX Vocabulary; Navigating SFX; and Putting it all together. The first three modules each ends with a brief quiz. The final module ends with a simulation of the software that will allow you to try out your new skills.

Click the red Next button below to learn how to Navigate the Tutorial. The Back button will return you to the Introductory Video, or you may select the Quit link at the bottom of left hand navigation menu to exit this tutorial.
